David Ma

David Ma is an attorney in Mallor Grodner LLP’s business and private client division.

David earned a bachelor’s degree in business at Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business, with triple majors in Accounting, Finance, and Technology Management. David worked for a major accounting firm during his undergraduate years. He also volunteered at the Bloomington Bethel AME Church and advised the church on accounting software solutions. After finishing his bachelor’s studies, he completed another master’s degree in accounting at the Kelley School of Business and passed his CPA exams. He also worked for a boutique law firm in Denver, preparing trial balances and corporate tax returns for closely held businesses, and conducting forensic accounting investigations. David then earned his Juris Doctor degree at Indiana University Maurer School of Law. During law school, David served as a member of the Dean’s Council and a chair of the Asian Pacific American Law Student Association. He also founded the Family Law Society of Maurer School of Law.

At Mallor Grodner, David enjoys using his research, writing, and analytical skills to craft top-quality legal products for his clients.

David is a small business owner himself, owning and managing a real estate development company in Utah. He also owns a rental business in Bloomington and manages rental properties himself. David deeply understands the importance of knowing both the financial side and legal side of a business. His strong business and legal background informs his representation of business owners.

In his spare time, David likes to enjoy a nice bonfire night in his backyard with his friends and family and his two golden retrievers, Doodle and Maymay. David also likes to work on his truck, fish, and help his friends with their cars and home improvement projects. 

David is fluent in English and Chinese both at a native speaker level.
